Christmas 2009

This Christmas was amazing! It was probably one of the best! We started out Christmas Eve by going to the cemetery. This has always been something that our family has done. It was freezing cold, but we lit the candles, took some pictures, and then went on our way. After that we went and played cards at Grandma's. This is always so much fun. We woke up Christmas morning, opened all of our presents, and then went and watched Camrynn open her presents. After all of that, it was off to Grandma's for the best Christmas breakfast ever!! We opened presents and then it was nap time! It was a really fun Christmas. It is always fun to get together with all the family and have a good time.

On Friday we went snowmobilling with Rylan's family. Afterward, we had a yummy lunch at Daniels Summit Lodge. It was a really fun day. I was so tired when we got home, but it was totally worth it!

Pioneer Christmas

The day before we got out of school for Christmas break, we had a Pioneer Christmas. We played pioneer games, line danced, made a quilt, and made butter. I even brought a home-made pinata for the students to play with. It was a huge hit! We had a tug-o-war, wheel barrow races, and even played jacks and marbles. I decided this is a really fun grade and we get to do some really fun things. It was a little crazy doing all of this the day before the break, but it made me thankful that I have a couple weeks off. We also had a school sing-a-long in the morning before our pioneer Christmas. Mr. Campbell dressed up as Santa, and all of the teachers sang. It was a very fun time, but I couldn't wait to get home and enjoy myself for awhile!

Never Too Old..

When I woke up this morning and looked out the window, I saw TONS of good snowman-making snow. It was 7 a.m. and I thought maybe I shouldn't go outside just yet. So, me and mom watched the "Grinch" and had hot chocolate. When It was about 9, we both went outside. She shoveled and I made a snowman. Who cares if I am 24, I love snowmen! Hadly informed me that he looked like a "big blob of snow". Whatever Hadly....I had fun! I don't care what you say!
