So, for some odd reason somebody somewhere ivented "mustache May." I personally would like to meet that person and ask why they think it is necessary for every cowboy (and some non-cowboys) to grow a mustache? Really? Any ways, May has been a really fun month. I have been super-busy (reason for not updating the blog)wrapping up the end of the school year, and hitting rodeos and bull ridings along the way. We had a field trip to This is the Place Monument, Field Day (please excuse the no-make-up or hair done, I was sweating like a pig the entire day) and we also did a lot of fun activities. Field day was awesome because the teachers played the fourth graders in kick ball. I have to say I did pretty well. My students were cheering MVP, MVP, as I walked back to them after the game. I scored 3 out of the 5 runs. I am not super-athletic so I was excited that I did so well. I accidentally took out a kid on third base and knocked the wind out of him, but other than that it was an outstanding game!
It is tradition that every Memorial Day our family goes to seven peaks. Luckily the weather was nice. It was Trey's first time there, and he had a blast! The weather has been so crappy on and off, that I was way excited to go lay in the sun that day. My summer will consist lots of sun, rodeos, vacations, and being absolutely LAZY! I can't wait. It officially started last Thursday and I am way excited! I still can't believe that you can lay around for three months and get paid the same that you do all year! It is crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world!
